Welcome to the course

Welcome to the Design for Manufacture & Assembly module.  This course will last four weeks and will be delivered live via Webex sessions.

This module introduces you to the main principles of Design for Manufacture & Assembly:  the methods used to ensure quality standards, reduce delivery lead-time and provide a reduction in product costs. The module will also provide an overview of some of the digital technologies used in manufacturing.

The course will offer a basic foundation in DFMA approaches, and will incorporate case studies relevant to the Naval Ships or wider BAE systems context.
